From Watchmen to Iron Fist!!!

Sorry, for not posting a lot, I been working my way through Watchmen, our next book for the Acme Comic Book Club!

I get the importance of Watchmen in the history of comics, but for this reader I had a hard time getting through this long story. One of the reasons I did not like this book was the back and forth with the journal, for me a lot of it was not important to this reader and found that part boring!! On the happy side, I am happy I read it and I may read it again after I read though the Before Watchmen books later this year (maybe)…

After a downer like Watchmen I read Iron Fist #1! I liked it but we will see!!

Now the following is my own opinion about the Netflix Iron Fist show!!

I like it a lot!! People will find fault in anything but this show it one look of the comic and if you do not like it TURN IT OFF!! We have all the shows we ever want to watch so watch something else!! For this reader and watching the show, I love both and before the show I never wanted to read Iron Fist and now he is in my top 5 Comics of all time!

Is reaching more people to read more the reason for Comics??

Iron Fist was one of the first Comics I got at the beginning of my Comic journey. It was just ok back then because I did not get into it! Now with the show in Netflix, I like it a lot and will add it to my must reads by Marvel!!!

The monsters are done or??

I know for weeks I been saying that this comic is a must read the first day. But with the news about FCBD and working out plans to see about going to FCBD, plus where I was the internet was slow so downloading it to my Kindle was unbearable!!

So tonight, I read it!!!

I just hope Marvel carries this comic on longer, its the only Marvel Comic worth my time and money!!!

One more Comic Book store coming to Greensboro N. C.!!!!

Here in Greensboro we have more than a few Comic Book Stores to pick from! We have;

Acme Comics – THE OLDEST & LARGEST COMIC BOOK STORE IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA!

Comic Dimension – One comic book store that cares more about their friends than helping paying consumers!!

Parts Unknown – Sorry, they are so old school that they do not have a real website, besides that Parts Unknown has no easy way for wheelchair users to get into the store and does not care!!

Ssalefish – The newest Comic Book Store (OPENING SOON) to come to Greensboro N. C.

We have options for our need for Comics!!!

Bad news for Free Comic Book for us!!!

For the past 3 years, I have been able to join the line of people ONLY because I stayed the night at Geeksboro. I can not stay some place that I can not go to the bathroom!!!

This year Geeksboro is not doing the all nighter so I can not get in to that area at all to be dropped off by the bus and no telling where I would be in line!! A mile away and no sidewalks?? It was something I looked forward to!!!
